Finally saw the video posted today on the BMW web site in the MY BMW section. Did not receive an email notifying me that it was ready as I had been told previously. Good video though, less than 4 minutes long, but saw some things I did not see during the factory tour.

I've kept checking for this video once my car went into production, but I didn't get it until 2 days after I picked up the car from the dealer.
I agree with others here, pretty cool, but I was kinda hoping for more. Still, it's an interesting insight into how the thing is made. I thought it was pretty cool how fast and smooth putting in the panoramic glass was! |

Do you know how far behind the website is in reporting status? According to the website, ours just started production today, so I'm curious when production actually might have started.

From my experience and what I've seen others reports, updating of the website is sporatic so there isn't a set lag time. It may be perfectly up to date or it may be a week behind. Some people have reported receiving their car before the website said production was finished. I never checked with my dealer but others report faster updates that way. We did PCD so as long as it finished production a few days before we were scheduled for PCD it didn't matter - we knew our delivery date.
