Just Picked up my car today!!!

Ok so after a 10 week wait i picked up my 35i X3 m sport alpine white black interior today.. I got it loaded with every option.. How can i not when I traded in an 08 m3 fully loaded.. i absolutely love it.. one option i thought was weird and i want to know if anyone else thinks its weird as well is when you come to a stop or at a light the engine briefly shuts off until you take your foot off the break.. Of course you can manually shut off this feature but you have to do it every time you start the car by hitting the button next to the start/stop.. There is no permanent way to shut off this feature.. How does everyone feel about this feature the 2013 x3 has.. I guess they did it to save gas or something it just scares me every time i stop lol

It is indeed a "fuel-saving" feature. From what I've read, your computer in the car can now be reprogrammed so that it "remembers" your setting when you shut the vehicle off. Obviously this was a major oversight but I'm glad they corrected it.

I hate auto start/stop and will soon be scheduling a time to get this TSB applied.

I'm not sure what it's like in the 35i, but in the 28i it's just too noticeable.. Too much roughness in the stop and start.

What's TSB? And yea that would be great if u didn't have to hit the button to turn it off every time you start the car.

I will give you my simple understanding. I'm sure someone on here knows a lot more than me on the topic.

A technical service bulletin. I think BMW calls them SIBs instead of TSBs. They are instructions sent to dealers about issues with their vehicles. Usually for things that amount to something less than a recall. Thanks to the internet most of these are easy to find nowadays.

I understand this is a function on all 2013 BMW automobiles...
