Remus sport exhaust

Just mounted the Remus exhaust. Quite easy to install.
They said on Remus homepage: "agressive racing sound" so I was a bit curious if it will irritate the neighbours.
Started the engine and I could hardly notice any difference.
That must be the most quiet "agressive racing sound" in the world.

Well, it looks nice anyway.

The cost is 954 Euro (1056 USD) Complete with tailpipes. The website says without tailpipes but the price is with tailpipes included.

Hi,

I had the original single exhaust tip and muffler removed from my X4 35d and replaced with straight through dual pipes with quad exhaust, we didn't need a new muffler or resonators as exhaust note was only slightly louder, maybe 6.5/10 instead of 6/10.

It was determined that the DPF and other stuff at front near engine bay muffles the exhaust note down.

I have a Remus Race Exhaust on my F25 X3 and it's nowhere near as loud as my E90 330i Eisenmann Race Exhaust. But to be fair, the Remus Race does sound great in DS Sports Mode, when you roll very slow in a low gear and let off the gas, it does the exhaust backfire AKA fart noise. So that's cool I guess.

Hi,

Ring Mark at Exhaust Technology, he has real pride in his workmanship.

http://www.exhausttechnology.com/

Tell him you did Ken's BMW X4 35d, the black sapphire one.

Thanks Ken for the information.

I think I went there 1 month ago. They quoted me $2000 for exhaust fitting. They make their own exhaust. But I feel like a bit "uncomfortable" dealing when they said they have not done the X4 before. I saw your photo that they cut really nice the other side of rear Diffuser . How much did they charge you?

I ended up order the exhaust with Active Sound System from Cargraphic in Germany
http://www.cargraphicts.com/products...en/bmw/x4/f26/

Package has just arrived in Sydney and will be in Adelaide in next two days. Will update the result after fitting at Andrawos Automotive in Glenelg.

Hi,

I'm surprised if you spoke to Mark and he said he hadn't done an X4 as I spent nearly the whole day there while he did the exhaust mod.

I think he charged me $1,540 but I reckon he quoted you incase you needed rear resonators or mufflers.

I purchased the same Remus Sports Exhaust and it was the worse decision ever. The Drone said inside the cabin/car is unbearable. I contacted Remus to see if this was normal. I am thinking of putting it back to stock.. i have to literally scream in the car for a conversation for them to hear me.. it is that bad.

Did yours have any drone sound issue?

Hi,

I don't have the Remus, I have a custom built system without any rear muffler or resonators and absolutely no drone noise, just sounds slightly loader than the original.

I am thinking of putting in a resonator to see if it'll help with the drone..fingers crossed
