F25 X3 Quads Exhaust

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Location:
✓ Will Ship

Item Interest
PRICE DROP: $900
UPDATE: exhaust is off my car and I am open to any reasonable offers if anyone is interested. Will also include my rear diffuser to anyone that has the msport rear bumper.

Hi guys,

I'm selling my Fox Quad Exhaust system which i had on for less than a week. My wife cant stand the deep tone while accelerating. I purchased this from a Germany company dein-sportauspuff and paid $1470 shipped.

It will fit F25 X3 28i/35i engines. I think it will also fit F26 X4's, their website shows the same part number of the exhaust.

Thanks for looking.

No wonder why your wife thinks it's too damn loud, you're running a straight pipe to what's probably a high flow muffler. Easy fix, pick up a Vibrant ultra quiet resonator and install where the original resonator was (under heat shield). I'm pretty sure stock piping for the n55 is 3".

http://m.summitracing.com/parts/vpe-...5tgaAswF8P8HAQ

I have the same resonator on my track car (headers and 3" single exhaust) and it made a huge difference. Still kept aggressive tone but don't get headaches from the drone anymore.

I actually still have the stock resonator. That undercarriage picture is from their website that I wanted to show the muffler.

But would replacing the stock resonator with the one you said be better?

Thanks

If your stock resonator is still there, then the drone is coming from the muffler so I would address that. Try using one of these inserts.

http://m.summitracing.com/parts/dtc-772-32520

If your aftermarket muffler wasn't welded on, this should be a quick and easy install. Drop muffler, stick pointy end forward (facing front of car), tap it with a mallet for nice tight fit, and reinstall the muffler. Flow wise it'll have minimal impact since it's so far downstream.

Thanks, I got it removed from my car already.

Actually I did made a video on the day before it was taken off. Not the best audio sound. But atleast something.

I guess you have a problem: one empty cutout and "bad" looks/sound.

There is a solution, but it don`t come cheap.

I have enclosed picture of the M Performance Klappenshalldämpfer system. For X4 35i M, but would resonable well fit X3 35i M.

Video with sound on X4 thread: Has anyone installed X4 35i M Klappen....

Two valves - one on each side. Sound of legal/illegal setting in video.
