Check my deal before I pull the trigger?

Hey all,

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2013 X3 28i. All the dealers in my state have been extremely unwilling to negotiate much on the 2013s. But with my USAA membership, I was able to shave a little more off the price. Could you guys take a quick look and let me know if this looks reasonable before I pull the trigger?

2013 X3 28i
Premium Package
Sport Activity Package
Cold Weather Package
Technology Package
Xenon Headlights
Heads Up Display
BMW Apps
Metallic Paint

MSRP: $50,895 (including destination)
Dealer Price: $48,610
USAA rebate: $1250
Total including fees: $47,659 + tax.

This represents roughly 6.3% off MSRP

Thanks!

Just about what I got for my 35i. Do you know what invoice is? Check car solutions and/or nada.

You got the same for your 35i meaning the same percentage off MSRP?

Yeah I checked invoice. This deal is still about $700 over.

Based on the Canadian pricing I got a 6.4% discount.

Looks good to me.

I got over 7% off but I think that's due to region more than anything else it seems. From what I've seen/read from other people/websites anything over 6% off MSRP can at least let you walk away without feeling cheated in most regions

Now all you need to do is go to any dealership and ask them to give you at least 7% to price match it. I am sure one of the sales will take your order eventually

I actually tried that (asking for just over 7% off)...it didn't work. Neither the poster who claimed this OR the dealership would fess up to who was lying. Whatever the case, just shop around and you'll find a good deal (which I think is $500 to $1000 over invoice). You may have to search farther than you want to drive, but if you have someone willing to match, it will be worth the effort.

I agree that $500-$750 over invoice is a great deal. In addition, BMW is offering a $1000 incentive for attending a 3-Series event at local dealerships, good through October 31st on any model regardless of how it is financed. The USAA discount can be combined with this or any other BMW incentive programs.

FYI Even at invoice price for what I added in my '13 order will make it well over 7% off of the MSRP. Even at $500 over invoice that's nearly 7% as well. Maybe it's something to do with the new pricing but getting over 7% in this region wasn't very hard.

But as i said earlier.. I agree that anything over 6% off is good no matter where you're at...pull the trigger and save some grey hairs

Now you tell me wonder if that can somehow be used for a vehicle that should arrive in early May...hmmmm

Yes, typically you are sent an email certificate applicable to any vehicle delivered/purchased from that date through the expiration date, so you will still be able to benefit from this offer.

I'd check with your dealer if they will accept the Team USA $1000 certificate if you order before you actually have it. I think last time around some dealers did accept it after an order had been placed but the cert clearly states that you must have the certificate before you place your order. I suppose the alternative is to cancel your order and start a new one. Maybe if the dealer was willing to work with you they'd give you the same allocation and it wouldn't matter at that point.

I checked what times are available from local dealers and they are all in July. I signed up nevertheless, wouldn't mind saving $1000 for test driving if they could apply it to a vehicle that's arriving in May.

If they allow the discount or not at least it will be something interesting to do for an hour or two in the future.
