Well hellooooo. NOW WITH PICTURES!!!

Good news everyone. I have migrated over here from E90post-land.

Last week we traded our 2008 Alpine White 328i coupe for a 2013 Alpine White X3 xdrive28i M-Sport.
After putting almost 94,000 miles on it in 4 years for a total of 129,981 miles, it was time to let her go. So my wife and I got the X3 and we love it.
I really wanted a X6 50i but I just could not get used to the idea of the fuel usage that it has. My X3 gets just slightly better mileage than my E92 328i got. I like that.
I'm sure that I will have some questions that only the experienced X3 owner can answer. When they come up I will ask here.

Happy to be here, or anywhere for that matter, type at you soon.

We went from this...

To this...

Thanks.
If it had been another color, I don't think we would have bought it.

My next X3 will be Alpine White. I like my Titanium Silver, but it is nowhere near as smart as Alpine White, especially under full sun!

Very nice car. Congrats.

Personally I would always go for the Mineral White metallic. That really looks better in sunlight.
Alpine white is just plain white, which, dont get me wrong, is OK. But I feel the metallic white a bit more interesting.

Space Grey all the way! White would have been my second choice.

Welcome aboard N6 and I hope you enjoy your new motor

Hummmmmm.... Space Grey is great for not showing the dirt. To me White is very nice when it has just been cleaned.

Mineral White Metallic is not available with M-Sport pkg in the USA so unfortunately our only white option is Alpine White. Which is a lot better than Melbourne Red which is OK. lol

I think if I lived in California then white would be on the list but not for the UK

Looking great in the sun there

Ranger 6, what in the world is it in the UK, that makes it a no-no to have white cars - let me think - white sheep? milk? snow? No, I can`t think of anything

I had a problem with my Carbon Black during winter - it just looked black-greyish. Since the sun is back in Sweden, I have got the glittering blue in the black which I wanted.

Great looking car Tjalle!
Actually, white is now the most popular car color in the UK - just above silver! That's across all marques, not just BMW.

That is for this year. Next year it may well be another.

The majority of mass produced cars for the UK market are not customer specified, but are produced ready for sale, so it is the manufacturer's who are influencing and producing colours on speculation.

There are an awful lot of sheep over here, and they are not just the ones in the fields.

The popularity of white is driven by customer demand and it looks like it's here to stay for some time.
