When I first saw the original X5 in black and then test drove the 4.4 I went crazy over it! Now seeing new X3 besides it is interesting. The new X3 looks pretty dynamic next to it. Impressive. New X3 design is really growing on me!
I had a 4.4i for three years. It was hard to give it up. I loved that rumble. It was loud and bold and classy. So perfect. It was hard getting 8.5 mpg though...

Thanks for comparison pics. The old X5 looks bigger compared to the new X3, I thought they said the new X3 is the same size as the old gen X5 ?

Smart marketing, they say almost as big, almost is a very ambiguous word:-)

Yes is still love that rumble. It sold me immediately. Never seems to have been replicated to that great tone with new X5 and X3.

Yea the old X5 is taller and wider than the new X3, but when I parked the X3 nxt to the Cayenne there was not much a difference. The new X3 and the Cayenne are nearly the same size.

However the dimensions paint a pretty different picture and can be argued almost as same size as the E53. See my previous post below
