Custom Programming options on 2012?

Anyone have a list of customizations the dealer can make upon delivery?

Thanks, -mark

Just about anything from the BMW accessories list.
Here is an example site, but any dealer should get you whatever you want/need + labor charge for installation, and you can always nagotiate that!

Oh, I wasn't very clear in my post. I was referring to programmable options that the dealer can make to the ECU, to, for instance, set the mirrors to fold on backup, or etc...My previous cars had long listed of programming options that the user could customize...daytime lights on/off, behavior of the door keys -- first press unlocks the driver or all doors, etc, etc.

I'm good with the other form of accessories.

I'm curious about this, too. I had assumed that iDrive put control in the hands of the owner and eliminated the need for the dealer to jack in with a PC.

Gotcha!

The user guide you can get on BMW website covers all of that....

You will be able to change the behaviour of your door locks (drivers or all), welcome lights, gong sound etc... something that's not unusual to most BMW's.

On the X3's you'll also be able to change the height of the liftvgate (if powered)

There is no option of auto folding mirrors or daytime running lights.

Curbside mirrors is an option and can be turned off by switching it to the passenger side on the mirror control switch.

You can however have an aftermarket tuner customize settings such as Daytime running lights, auto folding mirrors, DVD while driving etc.. They are available on most other models, and should be on the X3's... if not, soon.

Good Question

I just figured there were some things that only a dealer would be able to change. The SA did say that they moved the options into the iDrive, but for some reason I just thought that there had to be a few that they didn't move.
