Horsey, did you already tried the track and trace on Wallenius Wilhelmsen. Mine was already booked 10 days before the ship arrived.

The Tugela left Charleston on 16/04 and just arrived today at Bremershaven.

I have tried track and trace with derivatives of my VIN with % replacing blocks on numbers, but nothing shows up yet. If I expand the search too much, I just get ships that have already left ... and something tells me that my car is probably not on one that left before it was built!

Does that mean you’re expecting a delivery soon ...

Couldn't resist asking my dealer if it was too late to change the colour ...

They replied:

"No problem, let me just get the price for 15,000 touch up sticks for you ; )"

*giggle*

... I am pretty sure they will be much happier once I have taken delivery and am out of their hair!

Then I become the service deparment's problem!

Congratulations Horsey.......finally on its way. If it's (she) awaiting shipping and it goes anything like mine, I suggest you could get it wk21. My build was week 14 (don't know completion date) and I received it mid week 17; that's 3 weeks build to receipt. The excitement of waiting is unbearable (something like going on a first date?) but boy, it's really worth the wait. Had mine for a week now but unfortunately its rained just about every day so had to postpone my 'running in' weekend away :-) Anyway, not much longer! (unfortunately i

Congratulations plymjack - great pics - same colour and interior as mine which I got last week. What tyres are those, unless I am mistaken they seem different to mine on identical 17" alloys. Mine are Pirrelli Cinturato P7 (225 x 60) which I would have thought would be standard.

No batches, it is when all the parts get sequenced for the build.

Don't waste your time trying to track on WW with VIN, it doesn't work any longer for UK deliveries. The reason being that the pre delivery prep is now all done in Bremmerhaven, so the car gets unloaded there, spends a day or two, then comes on to the UK. I think this is what screws up the WW ability to track. The good news is that it goes straight to the dealer from Southampton instead of up country to the UK inspection centre (can't remember where it is) and back again, so no net loss in time.

The closest you can get is to track VINs either side of yours (wildcard match up to the Lxxxxxx bit) and you will find a load going to OZ (also RHD and they are built in batches, 10 either side of mine were RHD 30ds - although I don't think OZ get s the 35d so maybe this won't work as well for those). If there is one at the port near yours going to OZ, its safe to say yours is at the port too waiting to head over to DE. That's the closest you'll get I'm afraid!

oh thats a bit of a let down especially since we couldnt trace our car during production unlike our US friends but now not being able to track it on WW is even more of a let down.
I will get back to watching grass grow while I wait for the news from the dealer to go and collect the car then.

Are you sure?

Spoke to my dealer about this and he thought it very unlikely, saying that all vehicles had to go through PDI and be taken out of transportation status etc.

He said that this will happen post arrival at Southampton … and will happen before it arrives at the dealership (at least in the case of my dealership).

It wouldn't be the first time a dealer was wrong though ...

How do you know this?

Interesting. Using that approach my car (departed plant 28th April) appears to be on the boat that left Charleston on 29th April and is due to arrive in Southampton on 13th May.

It looks like a fair few of us have cars on that ship. How exciting!

No wonder I dont see any X3s near where I am..all of them seem to either be in the Midlands or the South West

Checked the WW track and trace with a wildcard search and the nearest VIN I can see is for a car going to Norway. Lucky person whoever it is for !
