2014 X3 M-Sport passenger mirror broke

Hey guys,
I recently came out of a store to find my passenger side mirror hanging off of my car

Dealer is telling me $1200+ for a new one. The entire mirror is fine but the internal gears broke. I hate to spend $1200+ on what looks like a $10 part when the mirror looks fine. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I know on other models (e38 experience here) it's a PITA to replace. How much of that 1200 is labor?

It's likely is one complete assembly, only reusing the cover and the glass. Insurance time?
