Using iPhone 4s with BMW cradle
Has anyone been able to successfully use their iPhone 4s with the BMW cradle? The cradle was sold as being able to function with the s but so far I can see album cover but no sound as it plays and it can only find one song each time and then won't change to the next song. Any input would be great.

Yes, I use an iPhone 4S with the cradle on a daily basis. I'm not having any problems.

Do you happen to know the model number? Just want to make sure I have the right one. Also did you have to do anything special when using? Bluetooth on/off, phone clipped in before or after starting, ect? Would love to use it but I am not having any luck.

Mine works fine as well. I can play music and video without Bluetooth on. I can check the part number later this week, but it's the top model (waaaay too expensive)
I just dock the phone and it starts playing (where it left off?) You can control it through the iDrive (as you probably know already) However. My first adapter was faulty and would not connect. The phone connected through the USB and cable. Replaced the adapter and now it works fine. |

I have a 4S, and use it regularly, however, I've noticed that my when my wife calls me using her phone (when she's in the X3 and I'm at work), it has a distinct digital warble that messes with my ability to hear her clearly sometimes. Anyone else have this issue and found a fix?

In order to play videos you'll need a lot more than the adapter. For starters, you need the BMW Apps option, which requires both Navigation and BMW Assist with Bluetooth and USB. One of those options, probably BMW Apps, gives you a big honkin' piece of plastic in your center armrest that seemingly takes up half of the storage space. The adapter, which has a special connector on it, snaps into that.
