M Sport Steering Wheel Heated or Not?
Trying to order 2013 X3 and getting conflicting answers from multiple dealers. Can someone with M Sport package confirm if steering wheel is heated or not? You can't order ZCW (cold package) with ZMP. However, you can add 40-20-40 and Heated Front Seats as separate items.
Another weird thing is that you can’t add ZCX (cold package 2) because ZCW is not selected. |

Don't know about in US, but in Canada you can get heated steering wheel with MSport.

I don't know how dealers can give wrong answers on this. The website is pretty straight forward. Speaking on US 2013 models...
You can only buy ZCX if you already bought ZCW, as it was in 2012 MY. Just like you can't get technology ZTP without first getting ZPP Premium. You do get a heated steering wheel if you order ZMP and ZCW as it was also in the 2012 MY. |

Also I ordered mine already with all those packages (2013 X3 35i) so I know they can be added together. |

BMW does a crappy job of its website in Canada and it doesn't sound like the US site is any better.
I'd poke around and see if you can find the 2013 product and ordering guide. I have the Canadian guide but that ain't gonna help you. |

The issue then isn't the ZCW and ZMP that you stated earlier since you can have those together.
The issue is the ZCW and the Driver Assistance Package can't be together. I guess you can't have cold weather and driver assistance in at the same time. Driver Assistance was the only package I didn't add in my build because I didn't see the need for it and what do you know it worked out for the best because I much rather have the cold weather package where I live than the driver assistance any day |

There are guys/gals on here with the M Sport and with heated steering. Even the '13 catalog shows it can be ordered together. Plus as i said above I drove the M Sport with heated steering. I guess it will be a pleasant surprise for BSM328xi when he gets his |

BMWUSA site is strange. Try ZCW and Driver assist without ZMP. It works. Then try to select ZMP and ZCW is unchecked. |

Basically: If you pick M Sport you can only have one or the other i.e. cold weather OR driver assist but NOT both. That's the way the cookie crumbles at bmwusa.com |

Does the driver assist package include the vibrating, wake your dumb ass up, steering wheel? Maybe that's to blame. |

You right. It does include that. Perhaps I can settle on just Head-up display as standalone option and forget about other two (lane departure and automatic high beam).

The best explanation so far was found on carsolutions site:
DRIVER ASSISTANCE PKG -inc: automatic high beams, lane departure warning, heads up display (N/A w/ZCW Cold Weather Pkg & ZMP M Sport Pkg in combination) (REQ: ZPP Premium Pkg) Code: ZDA I guess I have to decide between "Heated Wheel" vs "Automatic High Beam and Lane Departure Warning". The rest of the options I get as standalone. Any recommendations? |
