As posted in some of the other threads, we ordered a Canadian-spec X3 xDrive 28i xLine a few weeks ago, and were confirmed a build number for production this week.

We were informed today that the build is complete, and that the vehicle has JUST left the Spartanburg facility.

Expecting an early-June delivery.

We're multiple-time MINI owners and always had a twinge of regret for NOT getting a Hot Chocolate Clubman back in the day. Kind of feeling like this is a second kick at a metallic brown colour that rocks!!

Update from dealer - due to US rail car shortages, our X3 (and other Canadian orders presumably) have been diverted by ship to Halifax, NS.

Halifax is a HUGE seaport and the point of entry for inbound vehicles from Europe which cross the Atlantic.

So, now we await processing and loading on to a CN (Canadian) Rail container and our X3 will then move West from the Maritimes to the Rocky Mountains...!

Yeah, thanks riguy - I've seen pal bay's posts. I've also been looking at F15 X5s in Sparkling Brown to get a sense as well.

Dealer Update - I misunderstood the message last week. The vehicle only landed in Halifax yesterday, so now we are in the waiting queue for a train heading West.

I am in Vancouver, BC and my dealer just informed me to expect my car the first week of July. Later than originally estimated (Beginning of June).

A very kind, fellow "Bimmerposter" and fellow Albertan, was able to check on the rail status for me and revealed that the container our X3 was in arrived in Calgary over night!!

Now, just need it to be trucked to the dealer, and prepped & PDId.

Should be soon...
