Stereo/navigation questions

Hi guys so I am fairly confused on a couple options I’ve been looking at.
I have a double din pioneer unit I used in my 01 E39 525i (RIP) along with some alpine subs and amp. I want to install it on my X3. But my 08 X3 has that flip up navigation screen so I’m not sure if by installing an aftermarket stereo if I’ll still be able to use the nav function.
Also, if I were to be able to remove old stereo to install new one, would I be able to reroute a new dial to be used with the navigation?
Anybody come to this crossroad? I’m sure im not the only
One.

Your best bet would be to check crutchfield and see if they offer install hardware for your x3
