Torque spec F25 Valve cover
Hey all. I’ve seen a few post about torque on the 26 valve cover bolts at 9.5NM. Is this accurate for an N55 on F25 X3 model year 2017?? Currently doing a valve cover gasket fix due to massive leak on my X3 Thanks!

It's 8.5Nm, which requires a torque wrench with a pretty low range. I wouldn't try it with one that goes form 10 to 50 or whatever. There's also a sequence that you're supposed to tighten in:
When I did mine, I did finger tight, then 1/2 turns 1 time through the sequence, then did the 8.5Nm sequence twice. As the gasket compresses the bolts loosen up some, so I did it a second time to make sure everything was at torque.

I did the same as WagonR
finger tight, in the same sequence as that image. then a quick 1/2 turn, same sequence. then finally, then torqued down to 8.5nm (same sequence) using a very cute/small torque wrench that operates in a range of 2nm to 22nm |
