EfficientDynamics on the iDrive
Hi all,
I recently drove a 1 series(118d) and realized that it has EfficientDynamics on its iDrive as shown below. However, on my X3 20d, I do not have that option in the iDrive. I called the dealer to inquire and they told me that EfficientDynamics is on all BMWs but the option to display on the iDrive is not on the 2011 model. It will however be an option that you will have to pay for in the newer models. He also mentioned that it might be possible to retrofit it in the future to my car but for now it is not. I probably wouldn't pay for it as I expected it to be a standard option. This does not seem to be the case for Australian models anyway. I just think it looks cool to see animation of the battery being charged Does anyone have that on their iDrive? Is the dealer correct? I wonder how much it cost to add it as an option for the Australian newer model. |
