Placed my order for a X3 xDrive35i M-Sport today.

Placed my order for an X3 35i today. Note, it's a Canadian vehicle so the options will differ from the US.

TiAg
Black Nevada Leather
Wave Brown Trim
Tech Package
Premium Package
Exec Package
Dynamic Comfort Package
M-Sport Package
BMW Apps (ZOX)
Satin Aluminum roof rails instead of black

Basically everything but the heads up display.

Having it booked for a May build for delivery in June when my present lease expires. It'll be a bit weird going from a little (super quick) convertible to a SUV but my two boys aren't getting any smaller and neither is the hockey equipment. But, after driving it I found it to be pretty quick and decent handling for a SUV. Interior is nicer than my car now and it feels nice behind the wheel.

Under $71.5k with PDI, etc. and taxes all in if I was purchasing. I'm leasing.

Brian Jessel since their service is outrageously good.

I put my order in last Monday, Mar 21 - also a Cdn car - it will be interesting to see which one comes first.

My order was also for a 35i and details are:
- Vermillion Red Metallic
- Black Nevada leather
- Wave Brown trim
- Premium pkg
- Dynamic Comfort pkg
- MSport pkg
- Storage Compartment pkg

I skipped Tech (had Navi in my M3 and never used it), Executive, and HUD. I wanted the Sirius radio also, but didn't want the rest of the Exe pkg so just left it. In the 28i, the Sirius radio was a stand-alone option, but packaged in Exe for the 35i. Not sure why that is?

I am glad the MSport is now available, as I feel it finishes off the X3.

Happy waiting......

I could have had my vehicle sooner but we timed it for a May build so that it would arrive in late June to coincide with the end of my lease. Did the dealer give you a build date and approximate arrival time yet?

I've asked my CA to provide me the VIN as soon as he gets it.

I agree with the M-Sport. It changes the way the vehicle looks significantly in my opinion. Much more aggressive.

This is the first time I'v ordered the Nav in any vehicle. Just wanted the massive display to use with my iPhone.

Seeing your configuration it makes me wonder if I should have gotten the storage compartment package.

Hi, Congrats on your X3. I'm from Vancouver aswell, did you go to any other dealership to negotiate before deciding on Brian Jessel?

Also, if you ordered now, is it guarantee delivery in June?

Warmtoes - my dealer was owed a "favor" by another dealer so he called in the favor and got the other dealer's confirmed build allocation slot - thus he is able to tell me that I should have an April build, and a late May delivery. Hearing how many orders the plant in the Carolinas has, I will feel lucky if that schedule happens.

I liked the Storage Compartment option in that it not only gives extra carrying aids in the rear, but adds the web pockets on the back of the front seats, and the web pocket in the front pass. well. We plan to do some longer drives with this car, and those things should come in handy.

I am not in Vancouver, but have heard many good things about Jessel as a dealer. I think you picked the right dealer there.

Interesting that in the US, the Dynamic Comfort pkg, is called the Dynamic Handling pkg, which, it sounds to me, describes that pkg better.

No, didn't go negotiate from dealer to dealer. I knew I was going to get a good price and I did considering the vehicle is pretty hot right now.

Hopefully you get a good deal too.

My delivery is pretty "guaranteed". Jessel seems to have a lot of allocation slots to choose from given they sell the most BMW's in Canada. I could have had a sooner slot but didn't need it.

I'll be interested to see how you like the vehicle when you get it. A test drive no matter how long isn't quite the same as driving it day in day out.

I'll have to look into the storage compartment option some more and decide if I want to add this. Your right, Dynamic Comfort sounds so bizarre to me. Not sure why they make these marketing changes.

warmtoes & tuco44 - may i ask why you chose the wave brown wood trim over the aluminum? other than the fact you obviously like the look of it, but like have you guys had aluminum trim before and it scratched easily....etc

i'm having a tough time deciding between aluminum or wave wood trim....

It's easy for me, I hate the look of the aluminum trim, personal taste, that's all. Nothing to do with scratching or maintenance.

I like aluminum for accents and trim but if you look at the area around the stick shift/center console between seats there is so much silver around that area that it makes it look overwhelming in my opinion.

In my present vehicle (135i cab) I have red leather seats and very close to the same, almost black, wood trim as wave and it looks good. That's basically the reason why I chose wave.

Congrats. We'll probably be picking them up at the same time. What dealer did you buy from anyway?

Thanks Hopefully we will

After visiting AutoWest BMW and Brian Jessel, I decided to go with Brian Jessel. Warmtoes, You were exactly right the service and staff at Brian Jessel was superb. The guys over at AutoWest seemed somewhat uninterested in my business....and so I took my business to someone who cares and wants it

Just found out today from my dealer, that next week (Apr 10-16) is build week for my X3. That should get it here maybe as early as early May.

Glad you were taken care of. I'm not sure why other dealers don't treat people well. Makes no sense whatsoever. I guess that's why they've sold the most BMW's in Canada for something like 10 straight years.

I'm eagerly awaiting my VIN as well but I have a May build so it'll be a bit yet.

Hey Warmtoes,
This is my first post here.
Congrats on your new ride. Sounds like it's going to be awesome.
I just ordered mine a few weeks ago and the dealer told me they were not negotiating a penny off msrp for any orders with the m sport.
Would you be kind enough to tell me how much of a discount you got.
I think it may be time to renegotiate!
Many Thanks
