I would have to agree with Crash on this one. We purchased our 2012 X3 xDr35i in early November 2011 which is why it is coming out of warranty in a little over 2 months. The competition is tight in this market, esp with Audi's Q5 and SQ5 and Mercedes new GLC line, so I would be surprised if BMW didn't release the G01 by next Fall as Crash indicates (after some months of pre-release marketing).

I'm with Crash on this as well. I think this was just a short LCI run. I got my 2016 at the end of May, so I won't be surprised if the G01 is out next summer or sooner. The salesman we leased from said that the X3s and 3 series (I think) are always the first ones to be released.

To follow up with you guys I just got back from BMW of Freehold, NJ. Where I got an awesome deal on my current 2013 x3 35i 60k MSRP (every option), 10k a year, 3500 out of pocket, $555 a month. I was a hurricane sandy victim hence the ridiculous cheap price. Anyway. I test drove the 328i GT no M sport no DHP and it drove very nice and smooth and a little body roll as expected. I even packed up the trunk in the x3 so I can see what a packed trunk looks like in the GT. To my expectations everything fit. Except the umbrella stroller I have to not fit horizontally only on an angle. X3 seems to be at least 3-4 inches wider in the cargo area. Now on to the pricing:

Good news is that the 2016 GT models have more standard options and the packages are less. For ex 28i trim, M sport is only $2600 as opposed to $3400, premium is only $950, from $2200. So optioned exactly the way I want. It came out $2700 cheaper for the 2016. The 2015 I priced was $58,900. Do the math. So with that being said. The best price they gave me with $3900 out of pocket was $615. What a fkin joke man!! $615 they can GFTS, lol. I told them that was a decent deal and walked out with a smile. Lmao. I told him I'll see him next week anyway for the event that gives you a $1000 voucher for your next vehicle. Here is the kicker to the story. I already priced out with my lease broker "friend" a 335 GT at $63,000. You'll never believe the price. $609 with $3500 out of pocket. LOLLLL. for the 328 GT, same build and MSRP as Freehold.... You ready!! You ready for the price......................

$518 with only $3400 down.

END OF STORY. I'll update you guys on what I'm gonna do. Enjoy you weekend and I hope you love this story.

How are you getting on with your 3 GT?

I have just been offered a 335d xDrive GT M-Sport with Professional Media for....

£1600 down and then £275 a month, which is just crazy cheap.

My X3 warranty ends the end of next month and it might be an idea to jump into a GT for 2 years.

It's the most practical, sporty, classiest car I've drove. It's wonderful. Just make sure you spec it out and add in most options. Like M Sport and DHP.

I was heading for a 335i xDrive GT M-sport two years ago, but backed out because of cramped space for driver - I have been driving 9000:s for over 30 years and is spoiled with ample space for driver.
I drove an X3 and decided to wait a year for the X4 to come out. I love my X4, but it has limited cargospace.

No offense but you must be a big guy. In width. Lol because I'm 5'10 218 lbs and I have more room to spare if I was 6'2, 230 lbs. Still all good. I feel the x3 and GT are very similar for the driver.

I haven't been inside the 335GT but I will soon when I go by Crashnbrn5 house.
Although I did test-drive the 335 M-Sport Performance edition at a bmw drive event, i'm 6'3ft.tall and although not fat but my long legs couldn't breath lol.
I was inside an 435GC yesterday and its the same as 3 series except with a bigger trunk and nicer style. Worth the premium? Nope
X3/X4 have the same front driver/passenger space but
X3 has more headroom in the rear + cargo than X4, but X4 seating position in the rear seats is more comfortable but lacks a bit of head room and def cargo but not that bad.

Crash, no I am not big - but have fairly long legs and have been driving various 9000 for over 30 years - my right leg is preset in a certain angle, where there is a gearbox in 3-series. In X3/X4 we are positioned higher up and I have room for right leg.
