Adjusting headlamps on 2013 X3 F25 - halogen bulbs
Hi all
Does anyone know how to adjust the headlights on my 2013 F25 X3 M Sport 2.0D fitted with halogen headlights? Have fitted a full HID headlight conversion today but still daylight here in the UK so haven't checked out night driving yet. Fitting was fairly easy and worked first time. |

If you look at the headlight housing you will see a small black star shaped head with a hexagon hole positioned approximately above the main beam light. This adjusts the vertical height of the whole unit.
If you now look towards the outer end of the unit where it is positioned against the wing there is a white screw with a hexagon hole. This adjusts the horizontal aim. My 2013 X3 F25 2.0D M Sport goes through a self levelling procedure when the lights are first switched on, so check that this happens to yours before you carry out any adjustments if this applies to US models. Incidentally my HID kit was purchased from here: www.hids4u.co.uk . They are very helpful and the kit was easy to fit, took about 2 hours and the ballasts are fitted under the wing on a convenient bracing ledge. I cut the holes for the leads out of the round cap on the back of the light unit and although the cables to the main beam are only just long enough inside the housing I did manage to fit them. Hope all this helps someone. |
