Does Style 305 on a X3 35 fit?

Can anyone confirm that Style 305 wheel with 225/60/17 DOES or DOES NOT fit on a X3 35?

This has been an ongoing debate but I cant seem to find the answer or pictures to prove this.

ANYONE ?????

Thanks

Unless there are some magic going on I'd say the 305's with 225/60/17 will fit on a X3(F25) 35iX, and the reasons are:
- Both 304 and 305 fits the F25 28iX (US).
- The 304 also fits the 35iX, therefore the 305 should also fit the 35iX.
- 304 and 305 are exactly the same size - width, diam and ET.
- The 225/60/17 tire are of course a bit narrower but have the same circumference as the 245/50/18 which seem to be std on some 35iX's.

Edit: You can verify my info here: http://www.etk.cc/
Edit2: Weight should not be an issue - The 305 are available for the 30d which is heavier than the 35i.

Yes it will fit. See http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/305
Although they are 17 inch rims they will clear the brake calipers with little space compared to 18 inch rims. I have oem bwm 17 inch winter rims with 225/60 size tires and no issues.

What other models use the 305 style wheels?

As people have said - the 305 should fit no problems. I've 17" 306 on our 30d. The only exception will be if the X3 has the M Sports package with its larger-than-standard M Sports brake caiipers (or the M Sports brakes as a standalone option). In this case you I believe you need a minimum 19" wheel to clear the brake calipers.

For some unknown reason BMW states that they ONLY do not fit on x3 35s.

Likely brake clearance or heat.

Don't think so. The 305's fits the 30d, which has exactly the same brake discs and calipers as the 35i. Performance are similar.
