Exclamation Car is done! Clear Bra?

It's finally making its way from NC to my dealer. I saw the production footage of the actual car -- totally awesome!!!

I'd want to clear bra the car before driving it off the lot.

Does anyone know of a GOOD clear bra installer in the Boston area???

Thanks in advance.

Those things never took off in the UK

Clear or black, they can only distract from the visuals

Don't do it. They are a nightmare for detailing.

I will second that, I got one on my E90 and it was a nightmare when I detailed the car. I had Metallic Black and on that color the clear bra picked up a white hue over time and you totally noticed it. It was great that the car had zero paint chips on the front but it looked like crap anyway so I felt it defeated the purpose.

I didn't order it on my new X3....just my 2 cents worth. Good Luck.

I have it on all my bimmers and never had any problems.
Yes, the only time when it's a pain is when I detail the car.
But nothing a little Q-tip can't fix.

With the roads as bad as they are in Massashussetts, clear bras are a MUST.
I hate rock chips.

Now, who knows of a good installer?!

Ha haa!

Hope you know the comment was meant in jest. if it's the best option for your situation, I get that completely. In my neck of the woods they just look stupid compared to the few chips one has to endure, so was joking on that basis.

As you'll guess, I have no info on an installer. Best of luck and i hope someone has a good reference for you!!

Garage List
I had a clear bra installed on my E90 when it was brand new, and four years later I am so glad I did it. And unless you're applying way too much product, I've never had a problem when detailing. My car is Alpine White, so it doesn't show the lines as much but does show a hue of yellow-ish under certain light. Not enough to really bother me.

Likely the real problem you will have is that no one has film kits for it yet. Good luck though, and if you do get it done you should post info on the brand of film so others will know who has patterns done.

The other thing you may wish to consider is having the clear bra applied to the entire hood. I had it done at the dealer on my X5. You have to look really close to see if the clear bra on the hood.
