Who has wrapped their interior/trim or has CF trim?

Hi - looking for pictures of any wrap done on trim pieces on any F25 X3, or if you replaced your trim w CF trim, that works too. Any/all pics appreciated, I googled and came up w many 3's and X5s but no X3's.

For those who have wrapped, what has your experience been?

Thanks!

Wow looks fantastic, I have Tan seats so I don't think it would look appropriate. If you don't mind me asking how much did this wrap cost?

It is not a wrap. It is straight from BMW's M performance catalogue.
http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462
I paid $1300 plus $300 for install so it came up to $1600.

The Carbon Fiber gear selector is extra just BTW.

Considering he paid $300 for it, you would hope so!

There is a thread on bimmerforums showing what is needed...

Hi Just having a nose from x4 forum, hope this helps. I wrapped my interior with carbon vinyl, its very easy with patients and trial and error, stick on peal off leaves no reside. Can be bought on line hundred of suppliers and colours, Stainless steel trims on doors from China £60 worth the money, dash trim had to make myself, not made for right hand drive, only made for l h drive also from China only down side it costs as much for 1 dash trin as it does for 4 door panel trims. have photo,s of spare dash trims I made ,early attempts if of any help. Which are surplus to requirement. Hope this helps.

Geordie, very nice!

I think we should explain that M stickers/emblem are not STD issue on X4.

Rims still OK? Use them during winter?

Well, dealer botched my order so was thinking of replacing with CF.
Instead they owned up to it and are ordering the right trim (anthracite) and installing.

Looks really good there Big Geordie... I absolutely hate the dash trim on my x4, fine line anthracite. It should have had the stainless piece, it makes all the difference. Well done :-)

Hi TomaGo. Thanks for your kind words, The trims I bought came from Ali express, China version of e,bay. The four door trims about £60 well worth the money. unfortunatley dash trim cost,s about same for just the one. They are not made for RH drive vehicles {dont know why}. So I just made the one on my photograph myself, Hope this is of some help , More info if needed.

Hi Chopper 45. Why not have a try wrapping interior trim,s, I have the brushed aluminium under my wrap, its so easy and can be removed anytime without leaving any residue or stains, and is so cheap to buy. Hundreds of styles to choose from. Cant be any worse than the interior you say you hate, Keep me updated please if you go ahead, more inf if needed.

Interior looks fantastic Big geordie, I can't stand my aluminum trim. How did you remove the trims to wrap all the pieces? Was it difficult?

Hi Opulence. I did not remove trims. fitted vinyl in-situ. Cut paper backed vinyl to rough shape peel backing paper the take time and just stick in place and trim with craft knife, or you can use knifeless tape just take your time. Centre consul panel can easily be lifted up from gear shift to make easier as just prise it out of retaining clips from either side gently. If you make a mistake with vinyl just scrap and start again its so cheap. Let me know if I can be of anymore help.
