First BMW Purchase X3 x20d f25

Hey guys

Wife and I want to buy our new car. We have chosen the X3 F25 x20d M sport

This is our first BMW so we do not know what to expect apart from reading running costs and maintenance are higher

But what id like to know is if its worth forking out a almost $2000 for extended warranty? One we are looking at has 1.5 years left and is a late 2016 model

Are the X3's late 2016 x20d problematic and unreliable? If there are common problems I might want to get the extended warranty

id like to know if anyone can tell me some red flags to look out for to please

I have 2016 x3 28d. I haven't come across any major issue as such. other than regular oil change service, I had to visit service once for check engine light "on". BMW replaced some sensor to correct the issue.
