DIY Rear Euro Fog Light Switch
Need: trim removal tool & T20 to remove four screws.
Start on one side and pull out the other. Use a small tool to poke the electrical clip/pin so it slides out, don't pull the wires. Reverse to install Rear Fogs only turn on when front fog lights are on. http://bd8ba3c866c8cbc330ab-7b26c6f3...stallation.pdf |

If you have the headlight selector switch in "Auto" then the rear fogs will turn on independent of the front fogs, at least it does on my X3.

Unfortunately only works if front fogs are on for me regardless if I'm "A" position. Maybe Carly coding has something.
Update: having switch on "A" and having rear Fog on works! |

Bought similar switch about a year ago (from ECS) and removed trim panel with fingers by pulling on outside edge. I am thinking about a second one for my 535d xdrive. However, it seems that the price just keep climbing on this part.
As for F90705 , I had to check my X3 after reading your posting. No sure why, but my Euro switch in "A" position works either front or back fogs depending on button pushed. Not conditional on having front fogs on. However, there are about 12 part numbers for this switch, so yours maybe different than mine. |
