3 questions on 2015 X3

Hi, please help!

1. how do you read text messages on the screen?

2. how do you turn the on/off (engine) off permanently?

3. how do you change the radio station using the buttons on the steering wheel?

OR where can I find these in the users manual?

THANKS!!
Stacey

For a 2015, you should look in the Navigation, Entertainment, Communication manual. All should be revealed there.

Do you have that manual? If not, it may be downloadable from bmwusa.com. It wasn't available as a public download in '15, but you may be able to download it based on your VIN.

For #2, my recollection for a 2015 is that it defaults to the last setting, i.e. if Auto Stop Start is off, then ASS stays off the next time the X3 is started. If that's not the case, my recollection is that each X3 has a once-in-a-lifetime chance for the dealer to default it to off. Ask your dealer.

Otherwise, it can be coded to default to off (coding is setting software switches to something other than what BMW USA wants them to be), but the dealer won't do that for you.

1) make sure you have BMW Office, make sure notifications are turned on and are set to show in lock screen on your iPhone, then hit option on your bluetooth phone in iDrive and make sure messages/emails are clicked.

3) While on media/radio screen just roll up the little wheel/dial on steering wheel (not sure what it is actually called) then it will show you the stations i the little screen above the steering wheel
