Iphone5 adapter for the cradle

Any idea when this adapter will be out? I've heard June but not sure if that's true.

Nop, haven't heard anything.

I'm getting my BB Q10 this afternoon ... I hope it works seamlessly.

It was supposed to come out this summer, but they pushed it back.

Do yourself a favor and skip it unless the adapter supports video out from the iPhone 5

i kinda like the idea of not having to deal with cables to connect the phone and charge it at the same time. i know you can use it thru bluetooth. I guess i'll have to wait to see what develops.

I agree. I really like using it with my iPhone 4 and will probably upgrade to the iPhone 5 version but not for a long while. I will wait until it's been out there and hopefully the price will come down.

If you buy the media adaptor it will support video out, as it already does for the 4 if you have 6NR

The iPhone 4 uses the old 30-pin connector, which had analog video out pins in the connector. The new lightning connector is digital only, and the iPhone 5 adapter that is currently available in Europe does not support video out.

Does anybody know if the apps can be used fully with the new bluetooth professional in the MY14 without getting the cradle?

It is now pushed back to the fall. The lightening connector is creating problems for BMW.

Cradle or no cradle, apps are not fully functional in Norway...for example, remote unlock, Google map "send to car".

Hopefully more functions will be coming out via the form of apps, but at this moment, BMW apps are kind of useless in Norway.

If you find any good use, please let me know.

Thanks, will do.

Not wery impressive of BMW not letting all customers get to use what they have paid for, especially since they have not informed about it

You need BMW Assist to do the remote and Google send to car. Assist is not available as an option in Norway. I think assist has some extra hardware in the car, that listens for incoming connections from BMW.

That's really disappointing to hear - hopefully it's sooner (but I'm not expecting it)...

Thanks,
