Any employees on here that work in the Plant in Spartanburg NC. I know on my wifes Toyota the plant in Canada Assembly workers are on the Rav4 sites.Just like to get some info that many of us here in USA are curious for. If so my question is when they state Veh is in production and in build how long before it gets to the assembly line for the parts are installed. In production i assume thats where the welding of the frame for veh is welded together and then moves to Build.Anyone working at the plant have any answers if your on here.It be nice to know from the workers about input

In Production means your car is being built. Time frame from order to finished product waiting for transport shouldn't be more than 10 days depending on the dealership slot. It only takes a couple days to get delivered from SC to DC and I would expect a couple days more to Long Island.

They must be getting backed up. We ordered a X3 28d over two weeks ago now and still don't have a production number. The dealer we purchased at usually is really fast too.

I purchased an x35i one week ago and two days after order was placed it went into production.

Thanks guys , Mge92 thats about what i fig i know slots are given for production right from the dealer, mine was given on friday and tuesday it was in production.I dont know how long its in production before they send you a final touches then about week after that, I would check w/ dealer if you havent gotten a Production or Vin # by now DVB1. Mines was in production since early this week. X3 x28i awd,They say it takes about 40 hours from start of build to finish ?

Kidding but I am jealous...I got a production number the moment I ordered...but it still had not gone into production. Been about two weeks I think.

That's a decent amount of time to still not have gone into production. I've got the VIN and all, just waiting for production to end.

3Xfactor I have the same info on mine its been in BUILD waiting for end of production Its been in build since Sept 1st wonder how long it takes to get from build to end Production.

According to my salesperson, it was supposed to end production on Friday the 4th. I'll have to check to see where it's at, but my guess is it finishes this week sometime.

Mine X4 finally went into production...supposed to be done by Sept 12th.

Then it will take forever and a day (seemingly) to be shipped to Northern Cal.

3fx i been checking my BMW (my BMW ) each day and still no end production yet I fig fri or sat they have done. Being they work till sat as well. But w/ Monday being Holiday idont know if IT will be tuesday to even hear anything??IM getting antsy lol.I think you may get your del to Dealer week of the 14th Sept???

Are you checking online or the 800 number? The 800 number is more timely. Or call your CA and have him look online. That's the most timely source of information.

That would be sweet. My expectations have been the last week of September. I'm in Texas so not to far away but the dealer told me that usually takes a month from beginning to end. Any earlier though, I will surely accept. Along as the extras that were included in part of the deal are there.

Thanks i got the number appreciate it. also i have checked my vin number on the site and its been in Build since sept 1, hasnt moved from there lol each day looking for the End off production maybe their behind in notification cause of the Holiday here?

Could be.

Note that while the actual assembly of your X3 only takes 40 hours, the production process takes much longer. There are a lot of logistics which have to be worked out in order for the just-in-time parts for your X3 to arrive in the right place, in the right style, and at the right time for your 40-hour assembly.

WELL GUYS, i called an got some info today. My car is in assembly,and stated should be out later today but scheduled to be out tomorrow the 9th.sept.So hopefully fri its out and ready to be shipped to dealer.I live in NY about maybe 10 hrs away from NC. i hopeing for del by next week sometime keeping fingers crossed lol

Just so you know its in sc not north cackalackie lol but any ways i don't know much of the inerworkings but i work in final assembly and we have 91 seconds to complete each process. i know that really doesnt answer any questions just figured i would share it.

Just received word that my Veh is in transport and scheduled to land at my dealership on the 12th (sat) 3x4 i believe we get same day )
