2011 X3 2L Diesel 5 second rough start
have a F25 with N47 diesel engine. I only have this until my new car that is on order arrives.
When the car is first started from completely cold there are no issues at all, but if you run the car for 5 minutes, stop and then restart, the engine sounds like a bag of nails for 5 seconds and then smoothes out. It does it every start when warm. I have removed the accessory belt and the noise is gone, so it's something related to the alternator, water pump, crank, AC, or tensioner.
