Question on iDrive pop up messages, missed calls, etc

Hello all - question on iDrive functionality, specifically message and call notifications within the office menu

I have looked everywhere to see if there was a way to have messages, vmails and missed calls pop up in the foreground of your screen. My older vehicles had that capability automatically. Would anyone be able to advise as to whether this feature even exists? Thank you

I don't think iDrive has that functionality. At least with my experience with CIC headunits. You will only get an icon if there's a missed call/new message on the little time box that has the time when viewing the map.
