I noticed you omitted the standard turbo spec and manufacturers stated Times. Until the M40i can be tested, manufacturers stated time is the theoretical like for like comparison. Eg manufacturers 0-60 time for GTS is 5secs, Turbo 4.6 secs, Turbo with PP 4.2 secs.
Point Am making M40i time is pretty aggressive and the X3M will be thunderous.

I didn't omit any times. These are the ones I could find. You are free to use the search feature and Google some results and post. The point here is, the 2017 Macan Turbo / Macan Turbo PP performance is superior to the X3 M40i. These are real world tests...not manufacturer estimates. We already have a idea what the X3 M40i will be capable of simply from its X4 M40i sibling.

We will see about the X3M vs the competition.

Porsche is very conservative with their numbers and consistently outperform their own estimates. The Macan GTS is not a 5s 0-60 SAV...it is much faster.

The Turbo and Turbo w/ PP is the same engine except one is maxed out from factory.

I wonder what that turbo with pp and other options gets up to compared to a similar equipped X3M, I am guessing the Macan Turbo will be $15K more expensive and similar on the track.

also people have to stop trying to compared the Macan to the X3,
X3 Cargo space = 28.7/62.7
Macan = 17.7/53.0

Mercedes AMG and Alfa Quad are only things that compete with performance and utility size to the X3M. I guess its no different than the people who compare a Camaro or Corvette to a M3.

Agree....BMW seems to be changing their rollouts..

Case in point.. M3 CS.. first sighting was less than a month ago.. bam.. press release... right after.. goes on sale May 2018

Ya I agree on the price; I'm hoping my next acquisition will be the X3M! It just has to have Better seats than X3M40...they would need be like X5M or M3 and ventilated; steering wheel needs to be actual M style, HP and torque will Need to rival its competitors, alacantara headliner, merino extended leather (red) - I'll be downsizing from my '17 X5M and I understand it won't be as beefy but I'm looking into a slightly smaller machine...
