Question Double sound when open door

I have a 2008 X3si 6L and have this issue, when i unlock my door with my key FOB, instead of a single noise of opening i get two and i notice that the driver side lock button doesn't go up completely, i took apart the door but find nothing strange everything is in place, any ideas?

thanks

Welcome to X.Bimmers

First off, I guarantee you don't have a "2008 X3si v6". Six-cylinder BMW's are always straight six - no V6 BS here. Now you know.

Anyway, the double chirp for unlocking is normal behavior. You get just one for locking and two for unlocking. The logic of that escapes me, but that is the way all (I believe) Bimmers behave.

Got it, thanks, but now i have another question, when i try to check the oil level on my car i let it run to a certain temp and then i press the button on the cluster, it starts checking the oil level but never gives me a reading.
could it be a faulty oil sensor?

Thanks
