NBT cutting in and out Bimmer-Tech amp issues...

Read an older post about this but still have issues, questions !
Just got this new to me 02/2012 X3 28i and everything has been working fine till couple weeks ago.
Bought a used Bimmer-Tech PP82DSP amp, installed it and everything worked ok for a couple weeks.
Thats when the screen started going black then coming back on and off. I have reset the unit many times by holding the volume button in till it resets.
I am no computer wiz at all, but I dont know where to go with this issue.
In the older post about these issues, MSport Jon mentioned that the HDD, hard drive disk in the OEM head unit needs to be replaced.
Im not sure what that means, where that HDD is located, where to get parts, who does repairs ????

One more thing I will mention.... The amp has a 'control' button inside that can be accessed and pushed, and a STATUS light would blink. Well now it blinks non stop and I have nothing ! NO volume from any source.
Anyone have issues like this with their Bimmer-Tech amp ???
Please let me know, thanks.
