X3 noise from all 4 wheels

2014 x3 60k miles. Brake light comes on and a couple of days later I hear noise from all 4 wheels, it's like the pads have all worn down and are now causing noise from the the sensors, but from all 4 wheels, this just can't be. It looks like I still have good pad life on all wheels. I'm going to take it in, just too damn cold for me to take a closer look myself.

Anyone observed this before?

Thanks, Mike

Weird. Is the noise only present when you apply he brakes so that if you let of the pedal it is quiet?

Garage List
There's only a sensor on left front and right rear, not all 4 wheels. Have you been driving on salted roads? If so, you may have a build up of salt/dirt/grit embedded in the pads causing noise?

Noise is not present when brakes are applied, it is just when rolling - increases and decreases with speed. We have been driving on salted/sanded roads but for all four wheels to have this noise is crazy. Two weeks ago i put on new wheels and snow tires, but I made sure the wheels cleared the calipers and there's been no noise till just now.

I'd say it's a bunch of gravel or something but odd it goes away when the brakes are applied. I'm still betting on something like gravel or sand. Let us know what it turns out to be.

Turns out to be a bent backing plate on the drivers front wheel. This is where it was making most of the noise. As I walked along the side of the car when my wife was driving up and down the driveway it really seemed that noise was coming from all four wheels, but this was actually not the case.

Thanks all for your suggestions.
