Footwell light power source

I would like to install some led colored "ignition on" footwell lights. Any recommended power source?

Wouldn't that be distracting having light emanating from the footwells when driving in the dark?

I'm sure there are plenty of ignition on power in the footwell area, just use a voltmeter to find them or look at a schematic. LEDs are such low power you don't need to worry if there's enough power.

Just a very low intensity colored accent light. I have it on another car and it works well. I was thinking of red to match the dash lights.

I recently hardwired a radar to the front glove box on my X3 which involved fishing the wire from the driver side to passenger side of the car by passing through a gap all the way behind the center cluster so I know that's an option. Just remove the footwell top panel to get access to that back area and you'll see what I'm talking about.
