Nothing beats the feeling of having your new car sitting in your garage... I mean just the smell of the plastic bags in the car is a sensational smell, you feel sad when you tear up those plastic bags of the seats knowing that your car will never feel new again... Fuck i love that feeling! Gratz! hope I get mine soon, can't wait!

Vikz,
Congrats on the new X3, I just decided on the X3 over the Q5 and now I just have to figure out the 28i vs the 35i. Both are great cars. Since you purchased the Sport Activity Package I am wondering if you can tell me how you like the sport seats in everyday use. I remember when I test drove the E90 3 Series with Sport seats the side bolsters felt a bit to constrictive, wondering what you think as my local dealers test cars do not have that package. Thanks for you thoughts. |

You are right it's a great feeling...about the seats..I've always liked sports seats I like being able to adjust the seats according to your liking...I have those on my e92 and honestly I cannot see myself getting a BMW without the sports seats....also as for getting the 28i....my wife will be driving it alot so that's more than enough power ....this thing drives amazingly Thanks for all the comments guys

hmm....havent really noticed a difference, I'm guessing they're about the same size?.... the seats in my car do feel a bit more "sporty" though, if that makes sense...but maybe they just feel that way because the car sits lower to the ground?

Vikz: congrats on the car.
Some Questions now that you've had it for nearly a week: 1. How is overall ride quality and quietness? I forget - did you get the stock 17 inch wheels with the x28? 2. How is stock stereo? Am fm sat and cd's? 3. Anything else you've noticed and maybe didn't expect? Thanks in advance. |

Thanks...to answer your questions. 1. Ride is amazing, quiet, smooth, comfortable...Like I said in an earlier post, I feel like the ride/drive on this is better than on my lci 335i w/ msport.. And I got the Sports Activity package with the 18inch wheels. 2. Stock stereo--as with all BMW's is great, am/fm, HD radio options/MP3 capable. 3. Big thing that I noticed, that I didnt expect, even without Comfort Access---you do not need to plug the key in to start/stop..so you can have it in your pocket, etc. Only need the key to unlock, lock. - The key is also new, bigger, my 335i's key dwarfs in comparison to the new key..but I like the bigger key alot. -Love the bluetooth capability, clear sounds, and also the ease of the Idrive function. Honestly I could go on, but these are the main things. I do not have any more pics--this past few days, shes been parked in the garage, as I've been driving the 335 more, and have not really been going out much with the holiday's. |

I'm only expecting the delivery date to slip further back so if it becomes any earlier that is an unexpected bonus! Currently week 2 production for "early Feb" delivery but that boat must take a good few weeks to cross the Pond...

yeah boat will take a anywhere from 13-21 days (as I've noticed when I ordered my current 335) and when I previously ordered BMW's. and I'm on the U.S east coast.
