For F10 / F20 / F30, you can clear them with Tool32 F01.prg, but as I recall, it does not work on F25.

F06 should work. Connection is made with same ENET cable.

First, edit C:\EDIABAS\Bin\EDIABAS.INI to read:

Interface=ENET

Then, assuming the fault condition no longer exists, to clear the fault code.

1) Launch C:\EDIABAS\Bin\TOOL32.EXE
2) Hit F3
3) Load C:\EDIABAS\Ecu\F01.PRG
4) In the "Select Job: F01" window, select FS_LOESCHEN_FUNKTIONAL
5) Hit F5
6) "Results" window should show "JOB_STATUS = OKAY"

Hopefully, Problem Solved.

Note: fs_lesen_funktional only read fault codes, FS_LOESCHEN_FUNKTIONAL will delete it.

In F06 if opening doors is set on "comfort", when opening doors with a double click on the remote, the front windows go down half when opening the door, then close automatically when closing door.

Any chance to code this function for normal opening (without the remote) and also for rear doors ?

Thanks

The F06 is the Grand Coupe, and it has Frameless Windows. I coded an M6 GC this Sunday, and the windows dropped slightly when the doors were unlocked from the Dash button, and then raised again when locked. Are you saying yours don't from the Dash button, but do from the Fob button?

Correct: When opening the doors, the windows open slightly to avoid air compression.
But there are 3 possibilities to set the open button from the remote fob button
1: only driver door
2: all 4 doors
3: Confort : In this setting : single click open the 4 doors and a double click open 4 doors + when opening the door with the handle the front window open half way ( about 25 cm) then close itself when closing the door.

I'll like this behaviour to be as normal for all doors even when opening from inside.
It give more space for the head when sitting in or leaving the car.

Interesting. But, I don't know how to code option 3 as the default.

FYI. For those asking, The 2014 Europe PREMIUM map for CIC has now joined the North America version as being available.

We are still waiting on 2014 Europe and North America NEXT maps for NBT.

Can the rear window defogger be recoded to a longer time delay before shutting off?

Right now it auto shuts off after exactly ten minutes. I would much rather it stayed on until I made the decision to turn it off or, at worst, stay on for a much longer time period.

On hot humid days the window fogs up immediately after it auto turns off. On very cold sub zero days with snow or sleet, the rear defogger needs to stay on continuously to help keep ice from sticking to the rear window.

I coded Manually the ECO PRO Function on my X3 F25 3.0D
as follow but is not possibile to flag some options ( see the pictures )

HU_CIC > 3000 HMI > ECOMODE >Aktive
HU_CIC > 3000 HMI >HVAC_MSD_EFFICIENCY >Aktive
HU_CIC > 3000 HMI >EFF_DYN_SYS_CID >Aktive
HU_CIC > 3000 HMI > ECO_FDS_POPUP>Aktive
HU_CIC > 3000 HMI > ECO_MODE_CONF>Aktive
HU_CIC > 3000 HMI > ECO_ROUTE>Aktive
HU_CIC > 3000 HMI > ECO_TIPPS>Aktive
KOMBI > 3003 FZG >VERBR_HISTORIE_ENABLE>Aktive
KOMBI > 3004 ERM > CTR_HSTY_DISP_KI_APPL >Aktive
IHKA > 3000 > ECO_PRO_MODE >aktiv
ICM ECU: 3000 -> IcmKod_B_ECONOMIC > verbaut

Probably the problem is here:

3003 ECO_FDS, 3C
FDS_MENU_TEXT"n" & FDS_MENU_SIGNAL"n"
my Actually menu is NORMAL, SPORT , SPORT+

Anybody in the forum has X3 F25 with ECO PRO function from the factory and can check the right parameter ?

Hi all,

I coded my car and I am trying to code it again because BMW did a software reload on it. The car is asking for this specific file at 2 places, and I don't have it.

file name: "CAFD_0000000F_005_024_228"

1. C:\EsysData\psdzdata\swe\cafd
2. C:\EsysData\SWE\cafd

and in my esys folder the closest I have is CAFD_0000000F_005_024_332

Would you please send the CAFD file to me if you have it?
It's much appreciated! richardchou2000@hotmail.com

Thanks,
Richard

It should look for nothing in C:\EsysData\SWE\cafd. In fact, C:\EsysData\SWE can and should be completely empty.

What versions of E-Sys and PSdZData are you using?

What is your I-Step (current)?

So, you problem is this. You car is at F025-13-03-503, which is ISTA/P 2.49.x. The PSdZData you use must be >= to the last version of ISTA/P used to program the car, and yours, which you wrote is 46.3 and is most likely actually 48.3, is too old. This means you must update your PSdZData, which in turn means you must also update to new E-Sys with patch / token as 48.3 PSdZdata is as high as you can go with E-Sys 3.18.4 for F25 chassis.

PM sent.

I found this way to code http://dvdinmotion.com/how-it-works

Crazy prices but interesting.

Does someone knows more about this software?
Could we adjust some files to code other functions ?

Back in May 2011, before E-Sys and FDL Coding of Video In-Motion was available and known, this DVD from dvdinmotion.com was well examined.

Start with Post # 24 here (remove all *):

h*t*t*p://www.b*m*w*c*o*d*i*n*g*.*c*o*m*/showthread.php?373

Much was learned about it, but in the end nothing came of it as it was never determined how to expand on it to code other things.

It is VIN specific too, and when it was used in the head unit of a car with a different VIN, the CIC bricked upon booting, presumably a protection scheme.

I have kind of a non-standard coding question. Since BMW uses electric oil pumps now, could coding be used to run the oil pump briefly before starting to pre-lubricate the engine?
