Question Turbo scraping noise around 40 mph when pedal released?

Lately, I've been noticing that there is a more noticeable scraping noise out of the engine bay, towards the passenger side when I release the gas pedal on city streets. It's most noticeable at 40 mph when I finish accelerating and let it start to coast.

If I lightly feather the throttle, without applying enough pressure to put power to the wheels, it increases and decreases noticeably.

This being my first turbo, just wanted to see how much "scraping" I should be used to. I was expecting "whirrs", but not "sccrrr...scccrr...scccrr...sccrr's". There is a difference and it doesn't sound great.

I'm taking it in for a scheduled oil change on Friday and will mention it to my SA, just wanted see if anyone had the same experience.

Other than that, no issues, over 7,500 miles in less than 6 months and couldn't be happier. It's a fantastic vehicle.

Bypass Valve (AKA Blowoff valve). It is releasing excess pressure from the turbo. Nothing to worry about.
