question about customizing idrive

first,is it customizable?
I don't have navigation but would like to have the idrive screen display current time, outside temperature. is there a way to do this? I could not find any clues from the manual.

Customization is not available to general public. One needs to do coding to achieve it.

Cheeck what details are available on ODB port and use iphone and WiFi ODB Scanner to display the numbers. Nothing so easy.

You do get that information between the gauges on the main driver's display, if that helps.
