It will do when you compare list prices - I think the spec I wanted on the SQ5 (near as damnit fully loaded) was about £54,000 and the X3 I have ordered is near £56,000 but ultimately it's cost to change. Audi aren't giving any discount on an SQ5 as it's a new model (I really did push in the dealership as was going to order if they gave me a good deal.) Audi offered me a really poor price on my 530d and wouldn't guarantee a price for delivery date of an SQ5 (i.e. they would offer me a price when I agreed to purchase, but would give me less when the the SQ5 was delivered to account for depreciation!) I have access to a really competitive scheme with BMW through work, so that swung the deal for me. I test drove a Q5 S-Line and really liked it and would have liked adaptive cruise - but ultimately the whole package made it too risky and too expensive.

Although I liked the Volvo it was never quite in the same class as the BMW and servicing and fuel costs were horrendus.
Yeah I know of the Polestar package. I also like the little blue badge you get on the back of the car. I wasn't sure how insurance companies would react to it. I love the D5 engine - it's bulletproof - but like you say it's not as advanced or as economical as the BMW diesel offerings.

I'm interesting to see how the V60 D6 fares - the D5 engine coupled with the electric motor offers pretty good performance with good economy figures. Shame it's only in silver though...

Having had a lot of second thoughts about the spec that I had ditched from my F11 (even the things I thought I never used !) and second thoughts about the wood trim. I have now amended my spec and added the following to my original order :-

Brushed Aluminium
VDC
Performance Control
Servotronic Steering
Elec Seats
Panoramic Roof

I have banned myself from using the BMW config tool before it costs me more !!

Cool!

Aren't performance control and servotronic steering standard? Or is that only on M-Sport models?

Good choice on the electronic seats too. It certainly adds a quality feel to a car not having to fight with levers etc!

That bloody config tool cost me £1,000s! I have all of the above except VDC, and given more time may have ended up with VDC too. They are all good options and worth getting IMO.

I particularly like the electric seats as the wife uses the car and it's so much better to have memory seats with your seat in the exact position you left it in, not someone else

I think they are standard on the 35d models

"Weedy" - lol. True though. Xenons are the one true "must-have"
