It is in production!

woo-hoo! Finally, the 800 number is reporting my 35i Space Gray M-Sport in production with a completion date of June 4. Then the long wait for transport to Seattle...

Congrats! I see you are in the Seattle area... Mine went into production on May 3rd and I took delivery May 25th... so about 3 weeks... Hopefully you will get yours as timely... those 3 weeks were the longest I've ever felt 3 weeks go by though.

I kept a record of the timeline posted in a thread you can see here.

I was told it would arrive in early June but got it a week earlier than they said, so it was quite a great suprise to get it before Memorial Day weekend for sure!

My CA has been out sick so no prediction based on the new completion date, which has now moved up to June 3. He originally thought it would be 3 or so weeks to get to Seattle. If it only takes as long as yours, then it should be here well before the end of June.
Good thing I did not even have the X3 on my mind for my next car until I went to the X3 Difference event in March. So now I moving up from my 99 E46 to this as the daily driver. Can't wait.

Congrats. I love my space gray msport (see pics in the msport thread). Was waffling on the color (I have a black 2004 X3), but I couldn't be happier with the space gray. It seems to accentuate the contours of the car.

Sweet! Exactly my color and trim combination. Looks better in your photos than the online configurator. Now I really can't wait for it to get here.

Shortest time I've heard to Seattle is 13 days, so I am guessing delivery no earlier than the 20th. Long wait...

Congrats! We placed an order on May 28th but the 800 number and MyBMW doesn't even recognize it yet. I call BMWNA on Friday and they said production had not even been scheduled yet.

How long did you have to wait from the time that you ordered it, to the 800 number or MyBMW saying even "On order"?

Just as an aside, it rained for two weeks straight after I got my car. Unlike my previous sapphire black X3, the space gray is very easy to keep clean and does not show dirt. Should come in useful in Seattle. My sister lives in Issaquah and she says it rains 200+ days a year.

True, that is a long wait...like us waiting for a German made BMW!

Got a production slot for week 21 end of March. Status on the 800 number did not change until May 27.

Sure seems like it this year. But those sunny days make it all worthwhile! Glad to hear it is hides dirt pretty well. My Steel Blue E46 hides it pretty well also.
