Pet Hair Removal X3 Cargo Area

Our yellow lab is the frequent cargo area passenger, but she sheds like crazy. Any recommendations how to remove pet hair that are stuck in the cargo area carpeting (on the floor as well as the back of the seats and the sides). I tried using handheld vacuum cleaner (I got this high powered Dyson thingy) but dog hairs cling like a velcro and cant be removed.
Thanks for any recommendations in advance!

Shop Vac with the brush attachment - and plenty of agitation when vacuuming. Then, to get the stubborn hairs, a lint roller.

My German Shepherd rides in the X5, and it's a constant chore.

I have a Golden Doodle which doesn't shed too much. I have ordered the universal rear seat cover and will pick it up from the dealership next week. Will give a review afterwards.

I have always used the lint rollers to remove the dog hair from our lab & westie but saw this the other day in the Griot's Garage catalog & ordered one but have not tried it yet.

Not sure how to remove the hair but I do know how to prevent it in the first place............no Lotus7, not by keeping the dog out! I use a BootBuddy liner, it keeps the car looking good and the 'dragon' happy too.

I have an American Eskimo... sheds white hair and sticks out like a sore thumb on black interior.

ordered a cargo area liner Pt# 51-47-2-164-767 and it should do the trick.

As I posted earlier I am better at preventing the hairs getting stuck to the vehicle mats than I am at removing them. Please find some photographs of my boot-liner.

I'm on the verge of ordering a 2012 X3, and this issue has been a tough one for me. We travel with our miniature Dalmatians, and I hate the thought of dog hair everywhere in a $50K+ car. I've given up on our current vehicles, and just accepted the white "trim". No amount of vacuuming gets it all out of the fabric material used in the cargo areas.

I saw the post above about the boot buddy, and found a similar product for those of us on this side of the pond at trunk-liners.com. They don't have a product listing for 2011+ models yet, but I emailed them this morning to check on it.

I use one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/FURemover-Pet-.../dp/B000E8WJWA

in combination with a shop vac. The brush loosens the hair from the surface areas and the vac sucks them up. It isn't 100% but has worked the best for me.

I've used Static Guard spray and just brushed the hair out with my fingers. Also a lint roller.
