Android table Solution for BMW F25
Hi Experts
I saw a chinese solution to fit a 10.25 inches screen for the F25. This is a tablet solution. Although the finishes are not the best ones due to the cheap plastic at the base some adjustments can be made to improve it . Since i have a NBT evo2 HU Iam not interested about the android capabilities. I know this screens allow to see the original idrive Menu. I would like to know if when the vehicle is turned on it boots on android or can be adjusted to boot in the original idrive menu. If possible then I would use it as as screen only. I would appreciate your comments specially the ones using android screens. IMG]https://imgur.com/a/G9VMFT0[/IMG] |

From the link, this thing appears to be a standalone android head unit using the X3's speaker and amp system. In early summer, I (temporarily) replaced my OE 350z head unit with a Chinese-made android-based unit with similar features. While seeming a bargain, it was just a piece of junk - the radio portion did not work and the operating system was bulky. Luckily, it could be return it to Amazon. The item in question, appears to be similar, but just packaged to fit an X'3 dash top versus a box installed in the dash. Unless one's car has no GPS and radio (and that's rare), what's the point of redundant features? As for Chinese electronics, to quote the Brits: "once burned, twice shy"
