That's a lot of bike rack! Looks easy to load and very secure, but's its overkill for me. I just figure out how to throw my bikes in the back cargo area.

What's that part sitting off to the side in the last pic?

GC3 that's the stock bumper.

inamik, My rear will stay clean. This is a big deal if you mountain bike, cyclocross, or ride in inclement weather. I don't have to worry about cutting or marring the interior. The work isn't the issue to me (literally 3 hours total for hitch and rack); it's the cost, around $1,000, is what I didn't like.

Needed a bike rack only hitch for our 2015 28d, so I installed a Curt hitch from Auto Anything ($140). The Curt hitch slides on between the frame and the bumper, so you keep the stock bumper. Only downside is, unlike the Invisihitch, the receiver is always visible. But a much cheaper solution.

Yep, you pay pretty dearly to keep your dear looking pretty. That $1k included the rack. The hitch and receiver was over $700 w shipping. To be honest, I think it's too big of a margin compared to the Curt but what can you do?
