N55 engine - oil catch can?

Just wondering if anyone here has put an oil catch can on their X3 35i?

If you have, which one? And did you notice any differences after you installed it?

thanks

I dont think catch cans are going to give you much/if any noticable improvement. The big thing that they are likely going to do is help keep in intake cleaner. I have an air/oil separator on my Subaru, and you cant really notice any difference. But it will help a little bit as far as preventing knock by keeping the oil vapor out of the intake, and then it also keeps oil from depositing on valves and everything.

I know there wont be any noticeable improvement, but was wondering if anyone has used one on the N55 and found any significant oil being caught in the catch can. If yes, then this could help prevent fouling of the intake/valves. If no, then its just another on the long list of worthless add-ons.

Check the 3 series forums. I've read several threads saying a catch can did catch quite a bit of oil
