I feel like I'm forgetting something from my initial setup - where do I right click or double click the folder? also what does FA stand for? I'm currently in the E-syste coding module and have already changed the code configuration in my specific folder (in this case HU_NBT).

Once you "Read" it will populate.

Cool. I think I finally fixed all of my problems and have completed all the basic coding that I want to do .

few specifics for you if you've had experience with these (they aren't working for me so far)

- HU_NBT 3000 HMI Navi_Autozoom - supposed to zoom in when approaching a turn/key intersection
- CAS FH Master KMFRT_SCHLISSEN: makes the mirror fold pretty much immediately after I close using werte = 00. This is actually working for me, but did you say that there was a disadvantage to it?

  • Autozoom requires HU_NBT2
  • You cannot disable alarm tilt sensor if you remove initiation delay

Would someone with an F25 LCI whose tailgate button on the fob unlocks the car and opens the tailgate with a single push be kind enough to check the values of those two functions on their car?

Thanks

My 2015 X3 F25 LCI, which, with a locked car, and a single push of the open tailgate on keyfob, opens the tailgate, and automatically also unlocks the drivers door. Settings are as follows:

CAS_04 > CLM 3002 > ENTRIEGELN_OEFFNUNG_HECKKLAPPE = aktiv , Werte=01
CAS_04 > CLM 3002 > HK_GESPERRT_IN_GESICHERT = nicht_aktiv , Werte=00

Thank you - I'll try setting both to the same values and see if it helps

Success - I’ve found the function that controls the tailgate opening only when the car is unlocked

The clue was in the HO-Wort - ENKF (Unlock boot vehicle)

Using the NCD/CAFD Tool, I found that this affected two functions in the CAS module
CLM 3002 > ENTRIEGELN_OEFFNUNG_HECKKLAPPE = nicht_aktiv [Default]
CLM 3002 > HK_GESPERRT_IN_GESICHERT = nicht_aktiv [Default]

Thanks to VikingOne, I was able to compare my car with one that allowed the fob to open the tailgate without first unlocking the car

The key function was HK_GESPERRT_IN_GESICHERT which was set to active on my car
The comment for this is ‘Entriegln der HKL nur wenn Fahrzeug Entriegelt (alt England-Logic)’ - assuming HKL is an abbreviation of heckklappe (tailgate) this translates as ‘Unlock the tailgate only if the vehicle is unlocked’ - which is a fairly obvious pointer...

Setting HK_GESPERRT_IN_GESICHERT to nicht_aktiv restores the old behaviour and I can now open the tailgate from the fob without first unlocking the car

NB I also had to remove HO-Wort OENE which is not normally present but had been added by BMW when they were trying to remedy the tailgate issue

Does anyone have a copy of E-Sys Premium with token generator? I have a copy but it requires an activation code. I don't remember doing that last time. Let me know if you've run across this.

If in Control Panel the Region is set to United States, and the Language is set to English (United States), and Time Zone is set for a U.S. Time Zone, then Launcher PREMIUM should not ask for an Activation Code. Also remove any secondary language for the keyboard input if installed.

Just checked because I am running a Win10 vm on my mac. The issue persists. Should I try to download the software from a different link or something else?

Don't bother. TM has made it so all VM's require activation code. So, you can wait on it from TM, or find a Windows PC.

"alarm tilt sensor", is that the antitheft alarm? I guess if that goes off now, what are my options for disabling it? I definitely like the fact that the mirrors now close right away!

That is for if you park car in lift or leave pet in car, alarm will not go off when car rocked.

oh got it. So you're saying, if it goes off now, I have no way to disable it whatsoever? I don't have any pets that I'd bring in the car and leave in there, so I guess thats good.

I am saying that there are multiple levels of security, such as in a home alarm:
  • "Away" with all sensor enabled (Windows/Doors/motion/etc)
  • "Stay" with exterior sensors enabled but motion turned off. You do not have to worry about triggering siren when you get up for water.
Vehicle alarm is still enabled, but (tilt) movement due to pet or carport elevator will normally set off. With zero initiation delay, you cannot disable tilt sensor.

So, if you do not need ability to disable by pressing lock twice within 10s, then do not worry about it.
