I just got a loaner 2015 X3 for the time my 2013 X3 spends at a dealer for brake replacement.
I noticed that the new car has nice white background light for the speedometer and RPM meter during the day. This makers it much easier to use.

My car has no instrument cluster lighting during the day, unless I turn on headlights - this turns on red background lighting.

Do other 2013 X3 owners see the same lack of instrument cluster lighting during the day, or my car has a damaged white LED in the cluster?

I believe this setup comes with head up display

I have asked the same thing here, as the red is difficult for me to see.

I have yet to ask BMW if this is configurable.
