Rear Center Seat Leather

I just picked up a 2013 X3 M Sport after trading in our 2011 X3 and I noticed the leather in the center rear seat is a different type of leather (a thinner leather) than all the other seats and everywhere else on the vehicle. I didn't notice if this was the same as my 2011 X3. Can anyone verify if the center seat leather is different from the much thicker leather used everywhere else? Any close up pictures of the rear center seat would be helpful in comparing to mines. Thanks.

In our '13 35i, it seems to be the same leather as the rest of the seating surfaces...

On my '11 with 60/40 rear seats the leather has a consistent feel from side to side.

And on my '12 it again feels the same comparing it to the leather on the two seats beside the rest.
