For what it's worth, I just spoke with my dealer service department about my 2013 X3. I just hit 15k miles and had no notification about needing an oil change. He had me go into iDrive and look at vehicle status, and told me that the vehicle has sensors that check things like oil levels and brake pads. It take into account how hard I drive the car, and based on that, it will tell me when to bring it in for service. So I checked mine, and it said I have another 1000 miles to go, so mine is getting serviced at 16,000 miles.
Maybe the new cars are the same where it's recommended 10,000, but it may be closer to 12k if you take it easy on the car. Call your service department if you're concerned - I'm sure they can explain things better than I can. |

Nope. We're on our own. I'm paying for every other oil change- 7500 on me and 15,000 will be a dealer freebie. 10,000 is too long to wait and 15,000 is way too long.
