Weird Issue with 2011 X3

This just started happening today. I turn on the car and the first message that pops up is "Service due since 38,000 miles". The only problem is that the car only has 4,XXX miles on it and is 6 months old. I then go to check "Car Info" in the menu and I get these two warnings.

When I go to check oil level in the car information it states that the engine oil level is OK.

Trying to show that there are only 4,XXX miles on the car.

Is this a simple fix? Can the dealer just clear the misinformation? Is this something bigger I need to be worried about?(Why would the car think that there are 380000 miles on a car I have had for 6 months)

looks like a visit to the dealer...might be a software glitch.

I'd be more worried about listening to LMFAO

If you look on the second warning picture, the miles dropped down to 23000 from 38000! Very bizzare. Looks like a computer glitch.

Similar Question

We have a 2012 X3 that was first put into service in October of 2011. When I use the iDrive menus to check "Vehicle Status / Service Required", it shows: "09/2013" and "Service due in 16,000 miles".

My wife won't drive that car 16K miles before Sept. of 2013; so that means BMW is recommending going two years before the first oil change. The owners' manuals for all of our previous BMWs said you shouldn't go more than one year without service. I wonder if that "09/2013 - in 16K miles" displayed information is correct? (Not that I would actually wait that long.)
