IIRC, on our '06 X3 you could query the TPM error message and it would tell you which tire it thought was low. Problem we had is that as the car aged, we started getting more false TPM alarms. I would stop, get out my tire gauge, and check the suspect tire but would find the pressure was the same as its counterpart on the other side of the vehicle. Knock on wood, haven't had any TPM issues on the new X3. Bruce |

Good thread. For me, it would be wise to get new TPMS sensors with every new set of wheels...and will do so. I have RFTs and feel uncomfortable messing with that on my own.
On a side note...Besides a full out flat tire or a puncture, is anyone aware of performance features that are disabled or reduced due to tire pressure issues? Seems to me the TPMS would be critcal to proper operation of the vehicle.

The owners manual says For Canadian models The status display additionally shows current tire inflation pressures and tire temperatures.
Canadian drivers, can you confirm if your TPM have the information? |

I didn't find that info in the manual. Had a quick look at the gauge and looks like it just say what tire is low but doesn't show how much pressure in each tire. That would be nice info to know. My 2004 CTS-V TPMS showed that.
Manual doesn't say if the TPMS is built into the braking system either. |

FTM is not in the owner's manual, on page 83 of the manual, it specically says "for canadian model, the status display additionally shows the current tire pressures and temperatures". So I phoned BMW north america and the rep said the manual is for references only. It looks like BMW decided to save on cost at the last minute.
